Black Country Education show
Over 200 Headteachers, School Improvement Partners, governors and local education officials from across the region came to the Black Country Education show on Wednesday 24th March 2010 at Wolverhampton Racecourse, Dunstall Park. The exhibition was the first of its kind nationally and allowed visitors to talk to a range of providers such as Black Country Children’s Services Improvement Partnership, National College for School Leadership, Royal Shakespeare Company and AimHigher, to discuss their needs. Seminars and workshops were also running throughout the day and included a lively presentation from Kriss Akabusi. The Olympic medallist and former World, European and Commonwealth champion inspired visitors with his high energy and enthusiastic presentation on motivating people. Black Country Challenge Patron and BBC Midlands Today presenter, Michael Collie also presented on the day.
Schools were given the opportunity to look in detail at the 2010-11 programmes that will be funded or subsidised through Black Country Challenge and express an interest in those which will best support their priorities. If your school is interested in accessing these programmes please download and complete the Black Country Education Show request form below.
