Our events calendar is now available! Click here to view and reserve a place on a Festival of Learning event. All events are free to attend!
The Festival of Learning events calendar has now been posted to all secondary schools across the Black Country. The programme includes a list of events which will be held over the two-week period to celebrate the wealth of good practice in secondary education across the region. You can view the Events Calendar online now by clicking on the link above.
During the Festival the Black Country Challenge is offering delegates the opportunity to collect a voucher from each of the events that they attend. Those schools that have collected four or more of the vouchers during the festival will be eligible to enter a draw for £500. The money will be awarded to the school that presents the best case for using this funding to promote an enhanced learning experience for a class or group of pupils.
Host schools can also nominate pupils to act as a ‘Young Reporter’ for the Festival of Learning. The Black Country Challenge will award a digital camera to the pupil who is judged to have written the best report. Further prizes will also be presented to two runners-up, and all three pupils’ reports will be published on this website. Please send the pupils’ reports to The Black Country Challenge, BCCSIP, Wolverhampton Science Park, Glaisher Drive, Wolverhampton, WV10 9RU.
